  • What do I need to have in order to take online lessons?
In addition to what would be sensible to bring (make sure you have a piano before you schedule a piano lesson), we also recommend: A fast and reliable computer (not your smartphone). Broadband/high-speed internet: Standard Cable or DSL connections should work just fine. Quality Webcam: Your computer or tablet's camera may be good enough, but you can also purchase a webcam to help ensure a better experience. Quality Microphone: Most computers already have a decent microphone. However, to help ensure a great experience, you can upgrade your microphone. If you have questions about what you might need, please ask your instructor. Make sure to contact your teacher about the what you'll need before your first lesson. Click here to contact your teacher.

  • What if I have a class request from a student with special needs?
A Class For Me is happy to be a place where students of different abilities can come to learn. We find that open communication between teachers and students/parents leads to the best outcomes for all. We encourage students/parents to disclose to you any accommodation requests up front before the 1st class, so you can see whether you are able to make the accommodation for those classes. We also encourage you, as a teacher, to have a clear policy available that lets students/parents know that you need to know in advance of any conditions, learning disabilities, or physical handicaps that you should be aware of well before the 1st class, so you can assess what would be best. You are likely already familiar with conditions that affect learning, so staying up-to-date and informed on new/effective ways to work with students with specific needs is a great way to build strong connections with your students/parents and to be able to offer classes to a wider range of students.
